Back in January, in the middle of our dark, dank Fenland Winter and the beginning of another lock down, I was asked to take part as a local historian in a TV programme.
The programme was to be episode 4 (‘Possessive Petts Lane’) of the third series of ‘Help! My House is Haunted’. The crew was investigating a suspected haunting in a house in Sutton Bridge, Lincolnshire.
I had very little time in which to research the historical background that the producer needed, but did my best and went along to Market House in Long Sutton to do the filming.
The programme went out on the Discovery Plus channel in late June and is due to be broadcast again on Really TV in September.
They were a friendly group to work with and it was an enjoyable project to be involved in. It was certainly a good and interesting experience.
And no experience, as they say, is ever wasted.
